Click on the thumb nail image that you would like to set as public, the thumbnail image will enlarge. Below the enlarged image there are two options 1. Set this image as my public image, and 2. Delete; Double click option 1. Set this image as my public image. Your image has now been changed.

Currently we only allow 1MB max., JPEG images to be uploaded to your profile. If the image you would like to use is in a different format such as GIF, open it and save it as a JPEG, then you should be able to upload it. Keep in mind that converting to JPEG may affect the quality of the image.

One reason a picture will not appear could be you forgot to click refresh after uploading the file. Go back and upload the file again and click refresh. Another problem could be the image you are attempting to upload is larger than 1 MB or the image is not in JPEG format.

After logging in, your personal menu will appear to the left side of your screen, float your mouse pointer over the menu and the menu will open. Within the menu click on the My Pics category, your picture gallery and picture uploader will appear. On the picture uploader click Browse, this will open your PCs file manager; double click on the photo file you would like to load and the uploader will automatically bring it into your profile. Click the Refresh button and you will see your picture within your gallery.

Your public image can not contain images of genitals, nudity, or sexual acts. Pictures uploaded to your profile must be only of you and or your partner any other people in the photos must have their images blurred or distorted as to be unrecognizable Pictures of children under 18 years of age are not permitted on this site under any circumstances. Picture can not contain any type of contact information within them.

Your nickname is the unique name that other members will use to communicate and identify you.

TrulyGay.com only allows one of each individual nickname, this helps our Administrators and other members properly identify each individual member. Try a new nickname or simply add a number to the nickname you desire.

We only allow each member to have one active membership at a time.

There can only be one membership to an individual email address, if there are 2 parties using the same email address and wishing to have individual memberships; one party will have to create a new email account. Try one of the free email services such as AOL, Yahoo or Hotmail.

The dashboard will take you to your main profile page; from here you can view your profile details such as the number of messages in your inbox, who is on your tracking list, who you have selected to be on your buddy list and also who is on your blocked list. This area will also give you a link to edit your profile.

Your mailbox is the spot where you can access new messages in your inbox and review messages you have sent in the past.

The buddy list is a collection of your fellow members that you have chosen to be on your buddy list. From your buddy list you have immediate access to their profiles and private messaging, simply click on your buddies thumb nail photo and you are immediately sent to their profile. While on their profile you have the ability to private message, send that user an email, remove the user from the buddy list and block that user.

When you view another members profile you will notice a set of buttons that allow you to perform various functions. To add that member that you are viewing to your Buddy List simply click the button marked Add Buddy and that member will automatically be added to your buddy list.

Go to your Buddy List by clicking on the Buddy List icon below the Dash Board icon. There you will see images of every member you have placed on your buddy list. Click on the members picture you wish to remove, this will then take you to that members profile, within their profile click the button that says Remove Buddy; that member will instantly be deleted from your Buddy List.

The track list is a function that allows you to see what other members have been viewing your profile.

This is a list of users that you have decided to stop them from communicating with you. If you decide for whatever reason to place a user on your Blocked List they will not be able to communicate with you.

Simply go to that users profile and click the button that says Block User.

Go to your Blocked List where you will see all of the members that you have chosen to Block, click on the members photo you wish to Unblock. You will be taken to that users profile where you will see a button that says Unblock User; click the button and that member will be removed from your Block List and will be granted full communication with you once again.

Note: The Block List is used to allow you the option of keeping a member from communicating with you for whatever reason. We highly recommend that if you are experiencing a situation that is harassing or threatening that you report that situation to the site Administrator immediately. ** See contact us **

My profile page is the page that allows you to edit your profile details. After you make changes to your profile remember you must click on the Update Profile button found at the bottom of the screen to update and save your changes.
